Chicago Fall Youth Drive for Students Experiencing Homelessness

Global United Diaspora’s Chicago Chapter led a Fall Youth Drive that drove in financial contributions, donations, and more!

The initial goal was to provide care bags for 45 students experiencing housing insecurity, we packed over 55 bags for scholars at our partner school. Each backpack included hygiene items, warm clothes, thermal leggings, socks, hats & gloves, hair care products, a gift card, and a letter of encouragement.

Moreover, our extra donations were used to support a Garfield Park center for people experiencing homelessness and domestic violence victims. We showered them with backpacks, warm clothing, and hygiene items.

Thank you all again for helping us support our fellow Chicagoans and our youth! To our volunteers, we appreciate you. It was truly amazing to come together for a worthy cause, and watch the goodness multiply!

We look forward to more ways we can make impactful change in our city.
