2019 Ghana – Conference Recap

2019 Ghana – Conference Recap

“”In the initial stages of planning for the conference, Ghana was one of the top 3 locations. When the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, announced that 2019 would be the “Year of Return” it became the obvious choice. A call to return to the motherland. After my first trip in 2012, I fell in love with Ghana and I wanted my team to experience what I felt whilst connecting with other like-minded individuals.

Fast forward to the present day, a successful conference that brought together a diverse group of black-led NGOs and impactful individuals from across Africa and the wider diaspora; connecting, collaborating and unifying, while gaining to tools to become more impactful in their work across the globe.

This conference will always hold a special place in my heart being the first. Now we go back to the drawing board and plan for the next.”
